Radiographic Testing
Radiographic Testing (RT) is a non-destructive examination (NDE) technique that involves the use of either X-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. Radiographic testing (RT) is carried out by recording degree of absorption of penetrating radiation throughout the pipe wall. This produces a latent image of the object being examined on a film which is then chemically processed to transform latent image into a permanent shadow image of internal and external conditions of the object. A greater amount of radiation passes through a defected area compared to a region without defective issues. These radiographic images can be evaluated by either human operators or the automated computer vision system currently being tested for accuracy.

Magnetic Particle Testing
Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) is a non-destructive testing process where a magnetic field is used for detecting surface, and shallow subsurface, discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. Examples of ferromagnetic materials include iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. The process puts a magnetic field into the part. The piece can be magnetized by direct or indirect magnetization. Direct magnetization occurs when the electric current is passed through the test object and a magnetic field is formed in the material. Indirect magnetization occurs when no electric current is passed through the test object, but a magnetic field is applied from an outside source. The magnetic lines of force are perpendicular to the direction of the electric current, which may be either alternating current (AC) or some form of direct current (DC) (rectified AC).

Dye Penetrant Testing
Dye Penetrant Testing or Liquid Penetrant Testing is a non-destructive testing method that uses capillary forces to locate surface-breaking flaws such as cracks, laps and porosity. The flaw must reach the surface in order to be tested, but liquid penetrant testing offers an inexpensive solution for testing large areas quick result. Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) reveals surface flaws in non-porous material and metallic and non-metallic surfaces by the “bleed-out” of penetrating medium against a contrasting background. This is done by applying a penetrant to the pre-cleaned surface and flaw of the item being inspected.

Ultrasonic Testing
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) that are above the range of human hearing to measure geometric and physical properties of materials, and flaw detection/evaluation. Ultrasound travels through different materials at different speeds (velocity). The speed of sound propagation in a given material is constant. Our experts make sure this quick, non-intrusive and cost-effective inspection is also reliable with advanced testing equipment like Einstein TFT – II, Krautkramer’s and others.

Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
Time of flight diffraction is an advanced non-destructive testing method used for weld inspection. Time of flight diffraction (TOFD) is one of the most reliable non-destructive testing methods in testing welds for both pre-service and in-service inspection. Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) is a reliable method of nondestructive ultrasonic testing (UT) used to look for flaws in welds. TOFD uses the time of flight of an ultrasonic pulse to find the location of a reflector

Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT)
Automated ultrasonic testing (AUT) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to detect defects in metals and other materials for the fast and reliable inspection of girth welds during the construction of long-distance pipelines, both on and offshore. The system is characterized by high inspection speed and instantaneous recording of results. The sound waves are transmitted into the material, and any defects or discontinuities are detected by the returning echo.
